We hope to see you on Monday! At 4:15pm (til 5:30pm), outside the Saturn Club (977 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY 14209), we and an array of community groups will be sharing our view of the GOP tax plan(s). That is, the 99% including especially
– children whose futures are being mortgaged;
– college students,
– the working classes, and
– homeowners
all of whose interest and state & local tax deductions are being denied,
– those will health problems,
all will be handing over a gigantic check to millionaires and billionaires, including Harold Gottbucks. The majority of beneficiaries of this scheme will be in the Saturn Club listening to Chris Collins extol the virtues of taking from the majority to give to the rich.
Thank you to those who have given a $100 donation to the Golden Jubilee Fund. Only a month and a half is left to help make sure the WNYPC has another 50 years of activating and organizing for Peace, Justice, and Nonviolence at home and abroad.

The Western New York Peace Center was founded in 1967 by Buffalonians responding to the call by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr to end the Vietnam War as part of the social justice and racial justice movements.
The WNY Peace Center continues in action: resisting militarism and war around the world, fighting unsustainable environmental policies, promoting economic and racial and prisoner justice, protecting immigrants and refugees, teaching peaceful conflict resolution, and working in solidarity with Latin America.

Barber II of the renewed Poor People’s Campaign (originally initiated in 1967 by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King – yes another 50th!!) is meeting with Matthew Hoh of Veterans for Peace to combine against Militarism, Poverty, Racism, and Ecological Devastation. Riverside Salem UCC/DC will have a special program today at 4pm on Pilgrimages; and our allies at WNYMuslims are holding their wonderful Collective Banquet (see both below).

The Dinner was wonderful – Media celebrated – and the Sacred Defended. And the Community was Beloved.
