ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
Our Environmental Justice taskforce supports campaigns such as Rights of Nature, Indigenous plants, Anti-STAMP plant, anti-data center, and Restore Humboldt Parkway co-sponsorship/campaign promotion.

GENDER JUSTICE
Our Gender Justice taskforce helps coordinate the Women’s March, held annually by the WNYPC since 2017, with about 2K people this past year. They are currently planning for May of 2026.
Volunteers are also needed for a float planned for Pride Parade in June 2026 and ongoing tabling opportunities!

LATIN AMERICA SOLIDARITY COMMITTEE
A taskforce of the WNYPC for over 35 years, LASC organizes monthly Peace Coffeehouses at Canisius University Science Hall, on the 4th Monday of the month at 7pm. Recent presentations include reporting and resisting I.C.E. in WNY; migration & asylum, farms & farmworkers, “wars on terror”, environmental justice, and ties between WNY and Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE
Our Power to the People taskforce organized the initial national calls of mass mobilization in Buffalo for 2025, and maintained a public, and vocal resistance to the current regime. They organized, partnered with, or helped facilitate Peacekeepers and first aid for events including No Kings, Hands Off, Elbows up, Juneteenth, Buffalo United Coalition, Women’s March, and many more.
Power to the People maintains monthly training offerings FREE to the public including: De-escalation/Peacekeeper trainings (nearly 300+ trained so far) AND First Aid, CPR/AED, and Stop the Bleed (50+ people trained).
Power to the People has helped hundreds of newly activated people join the resistance, growing the numbers of those in our beloved community seeking a non-violent solution to our current oppressive systems.

RESIST MILITARISM!
Resist Militarism! leads our #StopGovtSponsoredViolence campaign, including protests and visits to congressional representatives’ offices, and holding antiwar rallies of up to 150, with partners like Muslim Public Affairs Council, Jewish Voice for Peace, Veterans for Peace, and more.

YOUTH PROGRAMMING
Our Youth Programming Committee plans our annual Camp Peaceprints, which provides social justice, advocacy, and leadership development opportunities to camp attendees and youth counselors. They are currently planning their 19th year of summer camp!
