PeaceJam Leaders After School Program!! 4/9/19-6/25/19

Hello everyone!

We are pleased to present the PeaceJam Leaders After School program, starting April 9, 2019 through June 25 (except April 23, when students are on break) at the CAO Rafi Green Center, 1423 Fillmore Avenue, Buffalo, NY. Parents are welcome to register their children for the program.

The PeaceJam program was launched in February 1996 by co-founders Dawn Engle and Ivan Suvanjieff to provide the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates with a programmatic vehicle to use in working together to teach youth the art of peace. The organization supports young people working for change through peaceful acts, giving them a platform by which they can be heard. It is dedicated to young leaders committed to positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world through the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates who pass on the spirit, skills, and wisdom they embody.

As you know the Western New York Peace Center works for peace and justice at home and abroad. We are dedicated to enriching the quality of life in our local community through collaboration and movement-building, for the prevention of violence to people and the environment. Peaceful conflict resolution among people and within institutions, especially for youth, is central to our mission. We work through taskforces and committees, providing many opportunities to learn, reflect, and act constructively to address issues of concern to our membership and create a culture of peace.

Please see our registration form attached! If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 716-332-3904. Thank you!

Also, Save the date for the Camp PeacePrints in July!
