Krissy Creech
Krissy Creech is a WNY community organizer and activist. This year (2025), after many years of experience protesting, Krissy helped form Power to the People NY, organized with the Buffalo United Coalition and Elbows Up for Canada, and began service as a board member of the WNY Peace Center.
She has been focusing on providing volunteer training, coordination and organizing for safe mass mobilization through the WNY Peace Center, in collaboration with Power to the People NY.

Alberto O. Cappas
Alberto O. Cappas is a communicator, educator, and community activist committed to social justice. Since returning to Buffalo in 2013, he has focused on uplifting the Puerto Rican and Latino community through projects like the Puerto Rican Latino Community Committee (PLCC), an online Latino Art Gallery, and Buffalo Latino Village, a monthly publication for Latino voices.
His past work includes organizing East Harlem’s first Festival del Libro and creating The Education Pledge, a youth empowerment initiative inspired by his poetry.
Alberto is excited to bring his experience and passion to the WNY Peace Center and support its mission of peace, equity, and justice.
