Dear Friends,
Our continuous support remains essential to the Standing Rock Water Protectors and the Buffalo25!

Standing Rock: It’s not over!

“… it is clear that the coming days of celebration, confusion and caution will likely be pivotal as they plan their next moves against the “black snake” slithering toward them—a snake deployed by the genocidal capitalist forces that still, after thousands of years, are trying to steal the land from beneath their feet.” –Kirsten West, The Root.

Additional ways to act:
* Donate through the Buffalo Supports Standing Rock Water Protectors Group. Warm winter clothes especially outer garments can be brought to Burning Books, 420 Connecticut Ave. Or money can be donated through Riverside-Salem UCC/DC (on line at or via check payable to Riverside-Salem UCC/DC; sent to 3449 West River Road, Grand Island, NY 14072; in either case, be sure to specify “Standing Rock” on memo line of the check.)

* Don’t forget to talk with your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, people in line at the grocery store, and whoever you can to increase public awareness in the face of a news blackout. (FYI, Donald Trump is an investor in the pipeline – please bear that in mind!!)

The Mexican restaurant workers who were raided in Buffalo in mid-October and face deportation still need our support desperately! Three people are still in ICE Detention in Batavia, one in the Erie County Holding Center, and all the families in dire straits.
Please send contributions to: Trinity Episcopal Church (with #Buffalo25 in the memo line of your check), 371 Delaware Ave., Buffalo NY 14202. ¡Muchas Gracias! ¡Si, se puede!
