{"id":193,"date":"2026-05-02T12:46:30","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T16:46:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wnypeace.org\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=193"},"modified":"2026-05-13T18:26:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T22:26:33","slug":"western-new-york-womens-march-2026","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.wnypeace.org\/index.php\/event\/western-new-york-womens-march-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Western New York Women&#8217;s March 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2026 Women&#8217;s March for Buffalo\/WNY will feature local women speaking about Rights and Justice Grassroots Actions. <strong>Jill the Turtle Mama Clause, Tuscarora<\/strong>, will open with a Gnonyoh from the Haudenosaunee tradition, and <strong>Vicki Ross<\/strong> will offer a Land and Enslaved People&#8217;s acknowledgement, as well as remembering the horrific 5\/14 Massacre and current illegal heinous treatment of immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;ll be followed by <strong>Holly Park<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rainbowcollectivewny.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Rainbow Collective of WNY<\/strong><\/span><\/a>; <strong>Faustenia Morrow<\/strong>, of the <a href=\"https:\/\/monarchofip.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Monarch of Infinite Possibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, addressing Environmental Issues in the community. <a href=\"https:\/\/crisisservices.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Crisis Services<\/strong><\/span><\/a> will have a representative speaking on sexual violence against women. <strong>Mimi<\/strong> with <a href=\"https:\/\/wnybb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>WNY Bridge Brigade<\/strong><\/span><\/a> will also speak, as will <strong>Donna Robinson<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NYSJailsJusticeOrg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>NYS Jails Justice Network<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll march silently down Court Street to Lafayette Square, where vocalist <strong>Lynntresa Atkinson<\/strong> and <strong>the Phenomenal Ladies of Rhythm<\/strong> will perform. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/singingresistancebuffalo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Singing Resistance<\/strong><\/span><\/a> will lead us back to Niagara Square in song, where the musical artist songstress <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fragranceofyah.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Fragrance of Yah<\/strong><\/span><\/a> will perform. Fragrance of Yah Stanfield and her daughter survived the May 14 Massacre.
